Japanese wooden lacquer suzuribako (writing box) from the late Meiji to early Taisho period, crafted with gold maki-e decoration featuring floral and bird motifs, as well as a depiction of Hotei (the god of happiness). The box is beautifully detailed, showcasing traditional Japanese lacquer techniques such as nashiji.

Weight: approx. 1000 g
Condition: In good preservation with minor signs of age, small scuffs, and minor wear to the maki-e, as expected from an antique piece. No fatal damage.
