It is in cela that represents a mythological scene of the navy, characterised by its symbolique and its elaborate composition. At the extreme, it is distinguished by the important figure of Tyche (Fortuna), divinity associated with destiny and prosperity, represented by an architectural structure. They are serene action and introspective expression confident in the image with a character of solitude and divine transcendence. To his right, an Eros simultaneously supports a length or a center in the middle of an aquatic scene, from where emerges a nude female figure, perhaps a black woman or a sea nymph. The undulations of the sea are proposed thanks to a use of colored lines and a chromatic palette that combines earthy tones, greens and blues, des resources that contribute to evoque the dynamism and the fluidity of the aquatic element. The execution technique reveals an outstanding domain of musical work, with refined usage of shading and the model for donner of volume and naturalism of figures. Such qualities are typical of the Roman workshops of high artistic level, active in the main urban centers of the Empire. It has the same relationship with the mosaic in the House of Aion at Nea Pafos (Cyprus) and depicts Casiopea and a black woman.
