About the Artist:
Ando Jubei (1876–1956) was one of Japan’s most celebrated cloisonné artists and a central figure in Nagoya’s enamel industry. Renowned for his technical mastery and refined aesthetics, Ando created presentation wares for the Japanese Imperial Family, many of which were gifted to foreign dignitaries. His work was exhibited at the Japan–British Exhibition of 1910 and is represented in museum collections worldwide.
