The main body features six deeply embossed panels, each meticulously adorned with three types of flower-and-bird motifs. Atop the lid sits an ornamental pedestal with a lion (mythical guardian dog), representing strength and protection in Japanese folklore. The lustrous, richly toned copper surface exudes warmth, while the sculpted panels provide both texture and depth, highlighting the technical excellence and graceful beauty of the piece. Resting securely on three decorative legs, the incense burner maintains perfect balance and elegance, making it ideal for practical use in incense rituals or as a striking decorative display piece. After establishing his own studio in 1957, Nousaku expanded his repertoire to include artistic vases and export stands crafted with green sand casting methods. Throughout his long career, he has been recognized for his skillful techniques and commitment to preserving the local craft tradition. He was certified as a Traditional Industry Artisan by the Takaoka Copperware Cooperative in 1983, and in 1989 received an award from Takaoka City for distinguished service in the field of green sand casting.
