Orologio da mensola o da camino.
Revisionato, testato e funzionante. In buone condizioni con piccoli segni del tempo e dell'età.
Realizzato in Italia negli anni 30/40, l'oggetto, di pregevole fattura, ha il corpo principale in legno dipinto. Il meccanismo è originale realizzato in Germania dalla Mauthe (l'azienda fondata nel 1844 da Friedrich Mauthe ed è strettamente legata agli orologiai della Foresta Nera di Schwenningen, città legata alla produzione di orologi e di componentistica per orologeria. Inizia a produrre i propri orologi nel 1870, arrivando ad avere oltre 1100 dipendenti nel 1900).
Sul frontale, con chiaro e marcato stile Art Decò, l'orologio presenta fascioni alternati in materiali diversi. Tre sono in bachelite (colore panna/avorio), due sono costituiti da lastra in argento massiccio a titolo 800 (con punzonatura italiana-argentiere di Milano).
Il quadrante dell'orologio, le lancette, i numeri sono in abbinamento cromatico con le cornici esterne; questo fa si che, unitamente alle linee pulite e sobrie del frontale, donano all'oggetto armonia ed eleganza, caratteristiche tipiche del periodo.
