Petitot & Muller frères French art deco - Chandelier - Glass, nickeled bronze

H.PETITOT & MULLER FRERES A large French 1930-35 art deco chandelier in nickel plated bronze by the famous Paris based company of Henri Petitot holding a bowl and four side-shades. These shades were produced by the Muller freres glass factories. All five shades are signed. The bronze maker Antonin Petitot started his company in 1878. His son Henri took over in 1917. The Paris based company of Petitot was a wholesale selling its lamps to lighting shops all over Europe. Together with Hettier & Vincent Petitot became the largest producer of French art deco lighting in the late 20s and early 30s. Petitot produced precious fixtures in high quality bronze with shades by the best French glass manufacturers. The mounting is marked on the inside with the usual Petitot foundry initials AP for Antonin Petitot. The chandelier is represented in the 1931 Petitot product catalog, which is no part of this sale. The chandelier has a height of 90 cm and a diameter of about 81 cm. The central Muller bowl has a diameter of 36 cm. The beautiful and large ceiling cap has a diameter of 30 cm. The chandelier is in excellent condition. I re-nickeled and patinated the fixture. It is newly wired and holds a standard E27 socket and four E14 ones. So you can use our normal light bulbs for it. For the USA or Japan I will replace the sockets for an American standard base and four candelabra base ones. Safe packaging guaranteed : As specialized restorer of French art Deco lighting for over 20 years I ship my parcels worldwide with the fragile items well protected and fully insured. #RoomsbyLiza
