Real African FOSSIL - fossilized feces - Fossil excrement from the Jurassic period, approximately 150 million years old - scientific name: coprolite.
Age: 150 million years (Middle Jurassic)
Jurassic coprolites
Coprolites are fossilized feces from very large animals of the Jurassic period, often dinosaurs, or other vertebrates such as predators and carnivores
They were first described in 1829 by William Buckland. For science, coprolites reveal the feeding habits of dinosaurs and other predators and carnivores of the Jurassic period.
Coprolites often contain fossilized fish bones and scales inside, sometimes even bones from smaller ichthyosaurs and numerous other prey animals.
Completely preserved coprolites are very rare; our specimen comes from Madagascar and offers a realistic view of the fauna of the Jurassic period.
It has been scientifically proven that coprolites come directly from very large land dwellers, mammals, carnivorous birds and dinosaurs
This coprolite is particularly large, heavy and completely preserved
Weight: 149 grams
Location: Madagascar, fossil site
Madagascar is considered a treasure trove of Jurassic fossils, such as dinosaur bones, teeth and fossilized skeletal remains, turtle shells and much more
Unique, valuable genuine fossil from the Jurassic period. Comes with a black metal stand.
