Neolithic Flint Collection of 24 Neolithic arrow tips (no reserve) - 200 mm (No Reserve Price)

Material: flint

Frame dimensions included in the shipment: 20 cm x 15 cm
Arrow tip dimensions between 7.3 x 1.5 cm

Neolithic arrowheads testify to human innovation and man's prowess in hunting. Their design is suited for both hunting and defense. They symbolize humanity's ability to adapt and thrive in the challenging environment of the Neolithic.
The sophistication of this ancient tool-making technique sheds light on prehistoric lifestyles, survival strategies, hunting practices, and the cultural development of early humans on the African continent.

The definition of the different material cultures is primarily based on lithic industry, and specifically on the shape of microliths (for example: retouched or unretouched bases, isosceles and scalene triangles, segments of circles, so-called Sauveterre points...). There are also scrapers, chisels, and sometimes massive tools associated with flint axes. Numerous raw products from flaking are also used. Depending on the regions and periods, different sandstones are transformed into elongated or bevelled pebbles, prismatic points, or grooved polishers.

The work of hard animal materials focuses on bones, teeth, and antlers. In Northern Europe, they are transformed into a wide range of projectile elements. While in France, apart from a few rare harpoons and bone tips reported here and there, production is limited to simple chamfered or pointed pieces, related to domestic activities.
