A single folio page containing the final verses of the Meccan Chapter 76, Al-Insan (Humans) v.22-31, the illuminated Surah of the Meccan Chapter 77, Al-Mursulat (Those 'Winds' Set Forth), v1-3. The scripture within this covers messages reassuring the Prophet and telling him to stay patient, messages to the deniers that God could replace them if he chose, but a better path would be redemption and finally that God's power to create should be taken as proof of his ability to bring the dead back to life for judgement. The folio consists of 10 lines of continuous text in black nasta'liq above the Chapter heading containing verses from Cahpter 76, together with a single illuminated 'Juz' marginal (lower left) indicating the 30th verse of the Chapter. The Surah of Chapter 77 is in white Thuluth script sitting within a gold cartouche booked by floral decoration. There are multiple 'aya' marking the verses within the scripture and diacritical (devotional markings) in red to provide guidance to the devotee. There is slight staining to the page, but nothing unexpected for page of its age. In fact, it is in remarkable condition.
