TECHNICS SL-1210MK7 BLACK
Professional Turntable
Description:
Technics has pursued every possibility to offer a premium musical experience to all music enthusiasts and will continue to do so in the future. This commitment is clearly demonstrated also in the SL-1200MK7 turntable. Rich in technology and accumulated know-how, it aims to contribute to the further development of club DJ culture. The Direct Drive motor has been the core of the SL-1200 series. Besides providing unprecedented accuracy, the Direct Drive technology introduced in 1970 offered reliability for long-term use with excellent durability. This has been further evolved with the SL-1200MK7 and has achieved even higher audio quality, such as the Coreless direct transmission motor. The SL-1200MK7 comes with a static-balanced S-shaped tonearm to continue Technics' tradition. The arm moves along a single arc while following the record and reproduces high-fidelity music. The detection section features a highly precise support structure. The arm offers high tracking performance without skipping even during intensive use such as scratching. The pitch control on the SL-1200 was originally used for precise speed regulation. Club DJs began using this feature to match the pitch between two tracks for smooth transitions. This technique led to the explosive worldwide popularity of the SL-1200. The current vertical fader was initially installed on the SL-1200MK2. This modification was made to simplify use for DJs. The MK7 has recently incorporated full digital control to enable accurate and stable adjustments within the range of ±8/16%.
