Pioneer - PL-15C - Record player
This semi-automatic belt-driven Pioneer PL-15C record player is fully functional, looks great, and comes with a brand new belt. It was fully serviced in May 2025.
The turntable has a dark brown, walnut-finished base in excellent condition and features balanced black and silver colors. Unlike the similar-looking but manual PL-12 series, this PL-15C is semi-automatic and equipped with a fully functional automatic stop mechanism that can also be operated by pressing the silver 'cut' button.
The unit operates with a new belt, new suspension foam, clean contacts, and a freshly lubricated spindle. The 4-pole synchronous motor has been serviced, lubricated, and aligned, and a brand new WIMA MKP-X2 capacitor has been installed to ensure at least another lifetime of use. The turntable runs quietly, is highly stable, and maintains accurate speed at both 33rpm and 45rpm.
It comes with a Shure M75-6S Type 2 cartridge with Shure 75-6 stylus in tested very good condition. The original Pioneer dustcover is smooth and clear, while it does show a few light signs of usage and a single shallow dent. Refer to the included photos for the best impression of the turntable in its entirety. The cover stands firmly open.
Included are the original anti-static mat with silver ring, original Pioneer headshell, original counterweight, original additional anti-skating weight, and a 45rpm adapter.
The turntable will be very carefully packaged - drawing from extensive experience in shipping vintage turntables - in a sturdy box, multiple layers of bubble foam, airbags, and other protective materials, with all loose parts carefully secured, following specific Pioneer PL-15C shipping recommendations.
