Magnificent authentic biface from the Lower Paleolithic, Acheulean in flint.
Found in the Charente-Maritime department (17) in France.
Biface with a magnificent riverine patina in leather color, very shiny.
Core with remaining cortex. Plano-convex biface.
Very fine tip sharpness with a very slight surface sheen, clearly showing the difference between the original flint and the patina of passing time, shifting from blue to dark to a leather color.
Rare and sought-after piece for its glossy and colorful patina and the finesse of the tip.
Remaining writing and an old collectible label.
Found in Saint Même, a site known worldwide for the very beautiful flint tools found there.
