The Tascam MMC-38 is a MIDI Machine Control (MMC) interface unit that provides MIDI control over Tascam's DA-38 and DA-88 digital multitrack recorders. It allows users to control the transport functions (play, stop, rewind, etc.) of these recorders using MIDI commands from a sequencer or other MIDI controller. The MMC-38 also converts tape time (ABS) to MIDI Timecode (MTC), enabling synchronization with other MIDI equipment.
