Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H5)

History: Reportedly this material was found in February 2024 in Algeria, and later acquired by Mohamed Ali Loud in Nouadhibou, Mauritania.

Petrography: (K. Metzler, IfP Equilibrated ordinary chondrite with clearly visible chondrules and chondrule fragments. Secondary feldspar grains are mostly µm. High amounts of Fe-Ni metal, slightly oxidized by terrestrial weathering.

Geochemistry: Mineral compositions and geochemistry: Mean olivine composition: Fa18.5±0.2 (Fa18.1-19.0; n=11); mean low-Ca pyroxene composition: Fs16.1±0.3Wo1.1±0.1 (Fs15.6-16.6Wo0.9-1.3; n=11).

Classification: H chondrite based on mineral chemistry. Petrologic type 5 due to the equilibrated state of olivine and pyroxene and grain size of secondary plagioclase.

Shock stage: C-S2
Weathering grade: W1
Classifier: K. Metzler, IfP.
