Jace is a French graffiti artist working in the streets since 1989.
He lives and works in Reunion Island.
In 1992, Jace created an emblematic and facetious character he named ‘Gouzou’. This is the beginning of a long adventure as The Gouzous are nowadays famous worldwide for having travelled to more than forty countries and territories. With his mascot with strip down graphics, their creator conveys simple and effective societal, political or environmental messages. His scope is not only universal, but also fundamentally humorous - and always original.
Jace's creative spontaneity undoubtedly explains why there are thousands of Gouzous collectors. Jace is today a reference point in the Street Art and Contemporary Art world, just like Banksy, Brusk, Vhils, André Saraiva, JR, Invader, Pantone, Orlinski, JonOne, Kaws, Cesar, Faile, M.Chat...
His work includes lithography, silkscreen printing, posters, painting, figurine, sculpture, canvas, original artwork.
