Superb restoration of this elegant Mercedes 190 SL, masterfully executed, recovering as many original parts as possible which were preserved over time. For all those parts where time has not been merciful and has run its course, original spare parts were used to replace them. However, with care and perseverance, work has been done and even its most hidden details have been restored. The combinations and colours of the time were meticulously researched, to make it look as good as possible, and to bring new light to a car of absolute and timeless elegance. All irretrievable parts have been replaced with original spare parts: Battery, windscreen wipers, door locks, glove box, boot, petrol cap, ignition lock, tyres, all bottom upholstery, seats and hoods, light clusters, right and left heating duct. Complete replacement of all motion parts, from bushings to pistons. The whole braking system and suspension. Everything concerning rubbers, gaskets and various profiles. All axles, arms, transmissions, etc, have been sandblasted and repainted with epoxy polyester powder in their original colours. All the operations were carried out with extremely painstaking care, in pursuit of maximum authenticity to the past, and with the aim of bringing back the light and elegance that distinguished this car. In addition to meticulously following all the restoration works, we intervened personally wherever possible, while we worked with professionals in the sector such as La PERFEKTA for everything concerning fittings and upholstery with fine leathers and full grain leather. Carrozzeria Marini worked on the sheet metal and mechanics, where a painting and diamond-plating treatment was carried out to make the paint as bright as possible. All the important mechanics under the body have been painted with sandblasting treatment and epoxy powder coating for a long life. Driving the car brings back the pleasure of the past and everything works perfectly. The engine gives a feeling of safety and runs very well without the slightest leakage and with a very muffled and silent sound. The trim is exceedingly well equipped: third rear seat, central glove box, 7-day clock, radio, carpeting throughout the rear compartment, original refurbished jack, personalised wheel cover, period maintenance keys, 5-litre refuelling can, protective seat covers, car cover with logo, vintage suitcase for accessories, trickle battery charger.
