The engravings are original from the book "English Botany or coloured figures of British Plants " by Sir James Edwards Smith, Third Edition, London, 1850. Figures by James Sowerby, Technique: lithography. Each plate was handcoloured at the time and shows different species of plants. In some cases nemes of plants have been handwritten. Plate size: cm. 21,5 X 13 (8,5 X 5 inch). Back is blank. Plate colours are still bright, however some foxing due to the age may appear here and there.
