This informative work was written by English botanist and Physician Nicholas Culpeper. This work contains a guide to herbal remedies and medicines for at-home use. Culpeper wanted to make medical treatments accessible to the public and produced this guide to help people find treatments in their own gardens.

An interesting and comprehensive work of Culpepper's herbal remedies. The book is illustrated with 9 botanical plates, including frontispiece, each depicting multiple flowers and herbs. Published by Joseph Smith, London, c.1840s. Publishers’ original dark brown boards, with blind decoration on upper board, and gilt lettering to spine.

Condition
Firm and well-pound copy. External covers are slightly marked and faded, with minor wear to boards’ corners, and to head and foot of spine. Internally; the book is in very good condition. No names or inscriptions. Inner hinges are very good, and pages are tightly held at the gutter. Pages are clean, and unmarked. Some notes with ink on the last couple pages of the ‘Table of Diseases’ (Please see pictures).
