Rare and one of the earliest etchings after the designs by Heemskerck: God appears to Abraham and discusses with him the covenant that he wants to engage with the people of Abraham. In the background are Ishmael and all the male members of the tribe circumcised, one of the true, of the covenant with God. Condition:
Very good impression on laid paper with early watermark (pot of flowers). Trimmed on plate border with traces of tread margins. Faded ink inscription in the bottom left corner. Overall very good.
