- Andy Warhol (1928–1987) was a leading figure of Pop Art, known for transforming everyday imagery—advertising, celebrity icons, consumer products into some of the most recognizable works of the 20th century. His innovative use of silkscreen printing, bold color palettes, and serial repetition challenged traditional ideas of fine art and blurred the boundaries between commercial and high culture.

Throughout his career, Warhol explored themes such as fame, mass production, glamour, and mortality. His studio, The Factory, became a cultural hub for artists, musicians, actors, and creatives who shaped New York’s avant-garde scene.

Warhol’s market remains one of the strongest in contemporary and modern art. His works consistently achieve multi-million-dollar results at major auction houses; iconic series such as Flowers, Marilyn, and Mao continue to attract global collectors, with prices frequently ranging from several hundred thousand to tens of millions of euros.

The Daisy compositions created around 1982 revisit Warhol’s enduring fascination with floral imagery, echoing his famous Flowers series but with a more expressive, luminous energy characteristic of his late period.

The serie shows variations of the same daisy motif, each rendered with vibrant contrasts, fluorescent tones, and dynamic outlines. The petals shift between yellow, magenta, blue, pink, among others, reflecting Warhol’s mastery of color experimentation and serial production. The simplified form combined with electric color gives the works a strikingly modern, graphic quality.
