1974 Chateau Pape Clement - Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé - 1 Pullo (0.75L)
Château Pape Clément's red wine is a prestigious Bordeaux wine typically dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The blend varies by vintage, but consists primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, supplemented with smaller percentages of Cabernet Franc and sometimes Petit Verdot. The wine is intensely purple in color and offers a complex bouquet of black fruits (cassis, blackberry), complemented by notes of spice, minerality, cocoa, and often a toasted note from aging in oak barrels. It is known for its powerful, full-bodied flavor with silky, fine tannins and an excellent balance between ripe fruit and freshness. The finish is long and refined. The red wine has great aging potential and can age 15 to 50 years in good years. Younger vintages often require several hours of decanting to reveal their character. The 2010 vintage received the rare and perfect 100/100 score from Robert Parker.
In this case a vintage 1974 bottle, well preserved in stable conditions. Ready to be tasted after 50 years! Will be shipped with care, pictures are part of the description.
