The artistic production of the Luba is all calm and distinction; it is similar in this respect to the equally famous art of the Baulé of the Ivory Coast. Among the most common features, the most frequent is a certain fullness and roundness of form; the Luba style is an art of curves, plump surfaces, full flesh tones, and soft volumes.
