It is a full size violin (whole length: 591 mm, body: 358 mm, upper bouts: 163 mm; middle bouts: 112 mm; lower bouts: 204 mm) with label inside: Nicolaus Amatus fecit in Cremona 1661 The violin is in a good condition, but there is one repaired crack approx. 4 cm under the tail piece!!! Violins and bows described as 'certified' or 'attributed' include images of their certificates and are therefore considered to have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, origin, and age than instruments described only as 'labelled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we provide no guarantee of any kind.
