On offer, from an outstanding private collection, is a gorgeous and ultra rare antique ca.1890s Albert Kohler AK&Cie /WMF silver-plated pewter ceremonial baptism/christening cup. Exquisite relief scene with Mother Jesus Child as center. Rocailles, fruits, insects and empty black escutcheon for personalisations also presented on the cup. Impressed on bottom with K&Cie marking for Albert Kohler &Cie Vienna, Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Albert Kohler company was founded around 1880, then purchased by WMF 1900s. The factory continued production until 1914.
Excellent condition with mellow patina, minor wear of silver plating.
