Official Portuguese Euro coin sets covering the years 2002–2006 and 2008, issued by the Portuguese Mint (INCM) in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality and presented in their original official mint cards. Each annual set contains the complete series of 8 circulating euro coins (1 cent to 2 euro). The reverse of the coins features the common design shared throughout the Eurozone, framed by the twelve stars of the European Union. The obverse designs are uniquely Portuguese, incorporating elements from the historic royal seal and symbols of Portugal’s first king, Afonso Henriques. These early sets capture the introduction of euro coinage in Portugal and are ideal for collectors building a chronological national collection. All coins are uncirculated BU condition and were not released for circulation.
