Big Peat is a blended malt Scotch whisky produced by Douglas Laing & Co., an independent Glasgow-based bottler. The Platinum Edition is the second release in the Vintage Series, which runs as a trilogy of Black, Gold, and Platinum, introduced in 2017. This particular bottling was distilled in 1992 and aged 26 years in oak casks before bottling in 2018 at cask strength (51.5% ABV) without chill-filtration or added coloring. The edition is limited to 3,000 bottles worldwide, each individually numbered with a cork stopper and branded cap (here is N° 2935).
