Inna Etuvgi - Hypnotic Sensory Experience

HYPNOTIC SENSORY EXPERIENCE fine art photography print by Inna Etuvgi What do you feel when you look at a flower? Can you sense its texture and the waves of colour without touching it? While working on close-up photographs of a carnation (Waves of Carnation), I wanted to deepen this overlap of sensations. I began layering the image onto itself — much like sensual perception overlays the visual one. Through this process, the composition transforms into a hypnotic landscape: a rhythmic, almost ritual-like dance of colour, texture, and vibration. This image is not just for your eyes, but for the entirety of you — an invitation to an experience where seeing becomes sensing. EDITION: This work is presented in a Special Collector’s Configuration (30x37,5 cm image on 33x43 cm paper). While the artist’s larger-scale Master Editions are represented in premier online galleries, this specific size is part of a curated series designed to make museum-grade photography accessible for versatile interior spaces. Produced to the highest archival standards, this configuration is available exclusively through the artist’s studio or via selected auction releases. It is not offered through other galleries or platforms in this specific size. ABOUT THE PRINT: Type: Original Fine Art Print (Macro Photography) Image Size: 39 x 28,5 cm Paper Size: 43 x 32 cm Paper: Archival Museum-quality paper, 100% cotton, 300gsm Edition: 1/25 Authenticity: Signed and numbered by the artist; includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Condition: New, shipped directly from the artist's studio in Sweden. *Framing Tip: This print is optimized for a standard 40 x 30 cm mat opening (usually found in 50 x 40 cm frames). The layout is designed to create a "floating" effect, providing a subtle white border (approx. 0.5 – 1 cm) around the image. This ensures that the artist’s signature, title, and edition number remain fully visible and become part of the visual presentation. (If you would like this work delivered with a custom-cut mat, ready for framing, please send me a message after the auction.) ABOUT THE ARTIST Inna Etuvgi is a Swedish-Chukchi artist whose work defines the concept of Cybernetic Animism—a bridge between indigenous Arctic intuition and technical precision. Raised in a remote village in Chukotka and trained in technical cybernetics, Etuvgi explores the shared "soul" of natural ecosystems and digital algorithms. Living with Aphantasia—the inability to visualize mental images—Etuvgi uses her camera and Generative AI as a "visual prosthesis" to externalize deep emotional landscapes. Her macro photography magnifies nature’s smallest details, urging a shift from a human-centered worldview to one of interconnectedness. Internationally recognized as an Arte Laguna Prize finalist (Venice) and a recipient of the Swedish Arts Grants Committee grant, Etuvgi’s work is held in private collections worldwide. As art critic Tabish Khan notes: “Her work transports us to other worlds—both real and imaginary, but always in harmony with nature.”
