Mariska Karto - Frida

Taiteesta: Frida on ikoninen. Halusin kuvatäyttää hänet päättäväisenä. Hänelle ei ole ollut helppoa. Olipa hänen olosuhteet mitkä tahansa, hän ei antanut periksi. Tämä nainen on kaunis symboli vahvuudesta ja sinnikkyydestä.

Teos on tulostettu 300 g korkealaatuiselle Hahnemühle -paperille, toimitetaan putkessa, mukana aitoustodistus (taiteilijan allekirjoittama).

Tietoa Mariskasta
Mariska on aktiivisesti esillä oleva taiteilija sekä kotimaassaan että kansainvälisesti, hänen teoksiaan on nähty sekä fyysisissä että online-gallerioissa. Hänen taiteensa liikkuu välillä mielikuvituksen, tunteen ja käsitteellisen ajattelun välissä, usein surrealistisia elementtejä sisältäen. Uransa alusta lähtien hänen työnsä on vanginnut laajan yleisön mielikuvituksen ja se resonoi yhä syvästi.

Lyhyt esittely
Syntynyt olen Surinamessa, Etelä-Amerikassa, ja omaan rikkaan kulttuuriperimän: surinamelaisten, indonesia-palaisen, afrikkalaisen ja ripauksen hollantilaista. Kasvoin Alankomaissa, vanhan hollantilaisten mestareiden perintö ympärillä — maassa, jossa Vermeer ja Rembrandt ovat aina näkyvissä.
Erään hajuvesimerkille annetun tehtävän vuoksi matkustin Venetsiaan. Siellä barokkimaisen taiteen, arkkitehtuurin ja kaupungin kerrostetun historian vaikutus vavisutti minua syvästi. Tämä kokemus herätti syvällisen voiman, joka on edelleen muovannut taiteellista visiotani.

Luova prosessini on huolellisesti rakennettu ja syvästi monialainen. Rakennan lavastukseni suurin huolellisuudella, sisällyttäen muita taiteellisia intohimojani: kalligrafiamaalausta, kullan työstöä, tekstiilejä sekä edistynyttä valokuviin manipulointia. Jokainen teos yhdistää nämä elementit yhtenäiseksi ilmaisuksi.
