Produced only in exceptional vintages, this wine is made using the traditional appassimento method, where carefully selected grapes are dried for several months to achieve high concentration and depth. The wine is then aged for many years in large Slavonian oak casks before release, resulting in remarkable complexity and structure.

The 2015 vintage is widely regarded as outstanding, combining power with elegance. The nose shows intense aromas of dried cherry, plum, fig and raisin, supported by notes of tobacco, leather, cocoa and sweet spices. On the palate it is full-bodied and rich, with velvety tannins, balanced acidity and a long, refined finish.
