María Burgaz - Las horas XL

XL_Este cuadro part of a very important base and has guided its process and content. It is a tablecloth that has lived a long time, purchased long ago in Portugal. This beautiful support, with so much history, could only speak of moments. Most of the meetings take place around a table, eating and drinking. this tablecloth is ideal for snacks, for tea, coffee, eating, dining... and from those meetings come all kinds of conversations, toasts, problems and solutions... This work is a representation of life in society around a table and the hours spent with more or less people around a tablecloth.

María Burgaz (1970) knew from a very young age that her vocation was art. She began her training at the School of Decorative Arts in Madrid, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid in the Painting specialty in 1993. Later she completed her studies at FIT in New York.
Winner of competitions such as the Wellington Foundation, Professional Football Foundation, Woman and Society, Iberdrola-UEX, UNED, Eugenio Hermoso, Gran Casino de Torrelodones… her work, in addition to being part of the collections of these institutions, also appears in the collections of municipalities such as Gibraleón, Valdemoro, Martos, Horche, Diputación de Alicante…
She has held dozens of solo and group exhibitions both in Spain and abroad, and her work is also found in numerous private collections around the world.
Her industrious and enthusiastic disposition has led her to participate in all kinds of projects and to collaborate with designers, writers and everything that allows her to express all that she carries inside. Her work always reveals the stage she is living, her vitality and her particular sense of humor and way of understanding life, always with mastery of techniques that she combines and juxtaposes to create unique, richly narrative and technically wise paintings.
Her works always include an authenticity certificate.
