It used as guides for understanding personal destiny through dreams, and interprets the meanings of dreams, often featuring lists of symbols and scenarios with corresponding predictions for luck, love, or future events, popular from the Victorian era (1800s) through modern reprints, connecting dream analysis with astrology and fate.

The book is illustrated with engraving frontispiece ‘Night Thoughts’, and vignette title page. Published for the Booksellers, London, ca.1890s. Publisher’s original decorative dark green boards, with gilt titles on upper board, and spine. Top page edges gilt.

External covers are heavily faded, and with age related wear to corners, edges, and to head and foot of spine. Pages are clean, and slightly browned with age (Please see pictures).
