Hopearaha 50 Pennia, minted for the Grand Duchy of Finland under the sovereignty of the Russian Empire, with the imperial bicorne eagle in heraldic style, detailed and powerful symbolic presence. The relief is well defined, especially in the wings and the central shield, preserving original luster with a uniform light silver patina. The fields show small marks typical of the grade, maintaining a generally fresh and attractive appearance. The reverse, with clear and balanced typography framed by a laurel and oak crown, reflects the aesthetic sobriety characteristic of Finnish issues from the early 20th century, in a historical context marked by tensions leading up to independence in 1917.
