Description
A genuine piece of Danish design history. The U70 was Bang & Olufsen's very first headphone, created by Jacob Jensen – the designer who defined the B&O look. As early as 1978, the U70 was featured in the landmark exhibition "Bang & Olufsen: Design for Sound by Jacob Jensen" at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

Technically remarkable for its era: an orthodynamic driver (early planar/isodynamic technology) in a semi-open design, delivering a natural, loudspeaker-like sound. The earcups adjust to the head both vertically and laterally via the distinctive mechanical "Head Control" and "Ear Control" sliders, and lock into position. Ultra-light at just 300 grams.

This example is offered with its rare original presentation box featuring the iconic da Vinci–inspired artwork – complete with the foam insert and the fully legible technical data panel. A sought-after collector's piece for enthusiasts of B&O, Scandinavian industrial design and the Jacob Jensen era.
