Created in 2026, sold directly by the artist in excellent condition, protected by varnish to preserve its colors and finish. Shipped rolled and protected in a customized package from Spain.
Description of the lot.
Work, part of the series: “Viento en popa…” where I combine the abstract style with the composition of marine themes. A formal inquiry that seeks atmospheres and compositions that allows me to combine gestural experimentation with realistic detail, discovering a more evocative and expansive pictorial experience.
About the artist.
Multimedia artist, sculptor, painter, photographer and video creator.
Graduate of the Instituto Superior de Arte (Course 2002-2007)
He has held nearly twenty solo exhibitions - both in Cuba and abroad - and has participated in more than fifty group exhibitions in various parts of the world, as well as international video creation festivals, and symposia on monumental sculpture in China and Cuba.
He has been invited on two occasions to be part of the main curatorship at the Havana Biennial. During his career he has received several awards and recognitions, among them the most important distinction awarded to a visual artist by his hometown, the Fidelio Ponce de León distinction (2017).
He has lectured in China, Buenos Aires and several universities in the United States such as the School of Visual Arts in New York (SVA-NY), Carnegie Mellon University and the Pittsburgh Art Institute, as well as Montclair State University in New Jersey.
Some of his works are already part of private and/or institutional collections in Cuba and abroad. He is part of the collection of the Ignacio Agramonte Museum in Camagüey, Cuba. Credicop Bank collection, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Collection in the sculpture park, Changchun City Park, China. Collection in the sculpture park, Guilin City Park, China. Sculpture in a public park, Alamar, Havana, Cuba. Sculpture in a public park Mario Aróstegui, Camagüey, Cuba. Monumental interactive sculpture in the Miramar business center in Havana.
