The artist does not seek a meticulous description of the motif, but to convey a general impression of the landscape, with particular attention to contrasts between vegetation, ground and sky.
The palette combines deep greens, ochres, reddish earth tones, yellows and luminous whites, contributing to a warm and slightly vibrant atmosphere. The treatment of trees and terrain is resolved with rapid brushstrokes and zones of thicker matter, while the sky and background structures are presented with lighter, more vaporous execution.
