After Egon Schiele. Provenance: small edition printed in Vienna by the State Print Office of Austria (Staatsdruckerei Österreich) on high quality paper in 1951.

This rare print, which demonstrate Schiele's distinctive style, is very well preserved after all these years (70+ years since it was printed).

The printing process is of the highest quality and is almost comparable to the original. Today there are only 3 printers in the whole world that use this. The color image is split - from light to dark - into up to 25 colors and then printed on top of each other in as many print cycles. This technique was mainly used in small editions.

Egon Schiele (12. kesäkuuta 1890 – 31. lokakuuta 1918) oli itävaltalainen maalari. Schiele oli Gustav Klimtin mentori ja tärkeä ekspressionistinen kuva-artisti, joka edusti 1900-luvun alkuvuosia. Hänen työnsä tunnetaan intensiteetistään ja raakasta seksuaalisuudestaan sekä monista itsestään ottamistaan muotokuvista. Ranteita kiristävät kehon muodot ja ilmaisullinen viiva, jotka kuvaavat Schielen teoksia, merkitsevät taiteilijan varhaiseksi ekspressionismin edustajaksi.
