Robert Parker 95/100 : "I love the expressive nose of the white 2022 Tormenta, a rare Godello from limestone soils—very scarce soils in Bierzo—that delivers a sharp and mineral wine. The vines are planted at 650 meters above sea level with the old Godello strain of small grapes and less vigor, delivering wines of more depth and concentration. The grapes were picked early, on September 5, and vinified in oak barrels of different sizes and clay pots, where the wine matured for 13 months. It has restraint and a certain austerity, with a moderate 12.3% alcohol and 6.25 grams of acidity. It;s tasty and elegant, with an almost salty finish. Very impressive. It should develop nicely in bottle. 4,700 bottles produced."
