Beautiful card in which Samuel Beckett discusses two emblematic plays of his theater, The Endgame and Not Me, as well as their performers, Pierre Chabert and Madeleine Renaud.
A few months before this letter, at the Théâtre d’Orsay, Beckett himself had directed The Endgame, with Pierre Chabert in the role of Krapp, presented on the same program as Not Me, performed by Madeleine Renaud.
Beckett writes:
"Dear Sir,
The show Endgame – Not Me is ending.
When it is restaged (if it is) I will send you a word for Madeleine Renaud and Pierre Chabert.
Very cordially,"
