The Yellow Lamp
“The Yellow Lamp” presents an intimate scene built from cubist fragmentation, where the female figure and domestic space seem to form part of the same architecture of color and geometry. The body decomposes into angular planes of blues, greens, reds and purples, creating a dynamic composition despite the serene and gathered attitude of the protagonist.
The yellow lamp introduces a warm point within the scene and functions as a small symbolic center. More than a simple everyday object, its suggested light provides a sense of shelter, intimacy and silence, contrasting with the fragmented and energetic structure surrounding the figure.
