Impressive vintage decorative vase by Villeroy & Boch, Mettlach, Germany.
The vase features a beautiful Asian-inspired / exotic bird and floral motif, with richly coloured birds, flowers, branches and foliage on a warm ivory background. A fine burgundy-red line decorates the rim.
The underside bears the Villeroy & Boch Mettlach factory mark as well as the inscription “Meister-Steinzeug – Unicglasur” and impressed model/production numbers. An old retailer’s label from Otto Engel, Gelsenkirchen is still attached, adding to its vintage character.
Height: approximately 40 cm.
