EMERGENCE

In this original abstract work, I explore the relationship between light, texture and colour. Layers of blue, deep navy and soft grey-blue create a sense of depth, while the sculptural relief catches and reflects the surrounding light.

The central textured form appears to emerge from the atmospheric background, creating a sense of movement and transformation. Depending on the viewing angle and lighting, the metallic surface reveals different details, highlights and shadows.

The composition is intentionally open to interpretation. It may evoke an organic structure, a form suspended in space, or something in the process of appearing and taking shape.

The artwork was created entirely by hand using professional acrylic materials and mixed-media techniques on canvas. The raised texture is an integral part of the composition and gives the work a strong physical presence.

This is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork.
