Description:Magnificent antique vertical desk known as a secrétaire à abattant (kirjoituspöytä, jonka etuosan laskeutuva kansi paljastaa sisätilat), dating back to the early 19th century (Empire / Biedermeier period, circa 1810–1830). It boasts an arched central alcove backed by original triple mirrors that create beautiful depth, flanked by miniature pillars and organizer drawers. The writing surface retains its original green leather insert with elegant gold tooling along the edges.Lower Storage: The bottom section features double doors opening to reveal large hidden internal drawers for extra storage.Marble Top: Crowned by its original dark-veined marble top, which is in excellent condition with no cracks or past repairs.Accessories: Includes the original functional keys that successfully operate the locking mechanisms.Condition Report:In very good overall condition considering its age (approx. 200 years old). The frame is structurally sound and sturdy. The interior theater, mirrors, and leather are beautifully preserved. It shows minor signs of age and wear, including small superficial shrinkage cracks and natural wear to the wood veneer on the sides, which authenticates its age and provides a wonderful historic patina.
