Yamila Velázquez (Las Tunas, Cuba, 1993) is a contemporary artist who uses digital intelligence tools, currently living and working in Alicante, Spain. Owner and partner of a company dedicated to the sale, representation and development of artists and artworks, Velázquez combines her business vision with a deep artistic sensibility.
This young Cuban talent has established herself in the field of digital art, using contemporary media to explore themes related to nature, landscape and the intimate relationship between woman and her environment. Her works address with subtlety and visual force topics such as beauty, love, sensuality and feminine delicacy, always framed in enveloping, romantic and refined atmospheres.

The work is presented as a powerful diptych that brings together two iconic superheroes, Wolverine and Flash, sculpted with a complex pixelated texture of geometric blocks in gray and stony tones. On the left, Wolverine crosses his characteristic claws with a defiant gaze, while on the right Flash poses in profile showing the distinctive lightning bolt on his chest. The figures of both characters are crossed by deep cracks from which a brilliant golden glow emanates, in a clear allusion to the Japanese philosophy and technique of Kintsugi. Just as this ancient art unites broken ceramics with precious metals to exalt their imperfections, the work symbolizes how the battles, losses and pain suffered by both heroes do not represent fragility, but the true essence of their strength, resilience and indomitable spirit.
