Myyjän antama kuvaus

1. Kierröittävä metsästys-/postitorvi
Turn of the 19th and 20th centuries (c. 1880–1920).
A typical European hunting or post horn (modeled on the French *trompe de chasse* or the German *Fürst-Pless-Horn*). Its characteristic circular coil allowed the instrument to be conveniently slung over the shoulder while riding on horseback or in a carriage.

2. Sotilaallinen signaalitorvi / torvi
Late 19th century or World War I era (c. 1890–1918).
A classic infantry signal bugle (trench bugle or field bugle). A design featuring a copper body with brass reinforcements, it was widely used by the British, French, and American armies. It served to issue commands on the battlefield and in military camps.

3. Pieni taskitorvi / ajoneuvotorvi
Early 20th century (1900–1930s).
Given its size and sharply curved inlet tube, this object most likely served as an early automobile or bicycle horn, originally fitted with a rubber bulb. Alternatively, it could have been a miniature signal horn used by railway crossing keepers or by beaters during hunts.

4. Suora kartiomainen torvi / sumutorvi
Second half of the 19th century (c. 1860–1900).
A long, straight tube with a wide bell. Instruments of this simple design were used as maritime foghorns (to warn ships during poor visibility) or as traditional, simple shepherd’s and fire-watchers’ horns throughout Europe.
