ABOUT THE ARTIST

Carolina Bellachi is a Spanish artist with an international presence. Her career has been recognized within the context of the Great Masters of the 21st and 20th Centuries in a prestigious international contemporary art auction in Italy, where her work was presented in a context that included names such as Picasso, Dalí and Damien Hirst.

Her art has been projected in Times Square, New York, and selected for premium auctions linked to Monopol Art Magazine (Germany). With her own gallery in Madrid and representation in New York, Carolina Bellachi is also represented in New Orleans, United States, by a gallery located in the heart of the Arts District, one of the city’s principal artistic and cultural districts. Her work has been featured in international publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, The World of Interiors, Artribune and ELLE Decoration.

One of her works is part of the permanent collection of the Copelouzos Family Art Museum (Greece), whose collection also includes works by internationally renowned artists.

Carolina Bellachi develops her work within Emergetism, her own artistic philosophy. The term does not refer to the concept of an “emerging artist,” but rather to the act of emerging into one’s own inner self.

Following her studies in Psychology, the artist incorporates into her practice an exploration of perception, consciousness and the inner evolution of the human being.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ARTWORK

“Cúpulas de Luz Nº 24” belongs to the Cúpulas de Luz collection, a series in which light, depth, movement and matter become vehicles for contemplation.

In this piece, an expansive area of luminous whites and very soft blues opens across the upper part of the composition, creating a sense of spaciousness and depth. The light appears to gradually move toward the turquoise and more intense blue tones that occupy the central and lower areas of the artwork.

As the composition descends, matter takes on an increasingly prominent presence. Reliefs, glazes and different layers create an organic space filled with movement, where whites, turquoise, deep blues and subtle mineral nuances appear and disappear across the surface.

The contrast between the luminosity of the upper area and the material intensity of the lower section creates a perception of depth and transformation. The surface changes according to the incidence of light, the viewing distance and the position from which it is contemplated, progressively revealing its different textures and transparencies.

“Cúpulas de Luz Nº 24” pertence a la colección Cúpulas de Luz, una serie en la que la luz, la profundidad, el movimiento y la materia se convierten en vehículos de contemplación.

En esta pieza, una extensa zona de blancos luminosos y azules muy suaves se abre en la parte superior de la composición, creando una sensación de amplitud y profundidad. La luz parece avanzar gradualmente hacia los turquesas y azules más intensos que ocupan la zona central e inferior de la obra.
