Where Light Begins
Where Light Begins is an original 2019 sculptural painting by Latvian contemporary artist Ilze Morgan, built through successive layers of acrylic, physical relief and delicate hand-applied golden accents.
At first glance, the composition appears serene.
Then the surface begins to reveal itself.
A luminous field of textured white and warm cream opens across the upper part of the canvas before meeting a horizontal passage of soft periwinkle blue.
At the horizon, a single warm yellow gesture appears.
