About the painting:
“Stillness (I)” is an exploration of balance and the quiet beauty found in open space. Layers of soft ivory, misty blue, and subtle grey dissolve into a distant horizon, inviting the viewer into a moment of calm reflection. Delicate drips and textured brushwork hint at the meeting of water and sky, creating a landscape that feels both familiar and imagined.
Minimal in composition yet rich in atmosphere, the painting embraces simplicity as a way of slowing the eye and quieting the mind. Rather than depicting a specific place, this artwork offers an emotional landscape - a peaceful pause where light, space, and silence become the subject.
Perfect for contemporary interiors, this artwork brings a sense of openness, tranquility, and understated elegance to any space.
About the artist:
Andreea Zecheru is a known abstract artist based in Hamburg, Germany. Many of her works are held in private and institutional collections across Europe and the US.
“Creating art is for me connecting to my inner world by bringing onto canvas emotions and linking them to color and composition. My creative process is inspired by the complexities that surround us. The concept of duality is often one of the main triggers for my work. Painting helps me reveal depths and unconscious feelings, the compositions are intuitive and dynamic. Softness and rawness, control and unexpected, dynamism and calmness alternate in my work - the elements intertwine and oppose. In my work, I am always looking for a kind of balance and emotional response.” Andreea Zecheru
