This is an outstanding vintage Moncler Grenoble down jacket from the 1980s – a true classic and highly sought-after piece. It features the iconic transformable design: the sleeves zip or snap off so you can wear it as a full jacket or convert it into a stylish sleeveless vest/gilet. Super practical and very cool!
Crafted in France with premium quality materials, it is filled with genuine selected goose down (as confirmed by the original Italian import/conformity label referencing the 14/10/81 ordinance and Moncler S.A.). The shell is a classic shiny navy blue nylon with a contrasting darker navy yoke/shoulders, classic snap-button front closure, elasticated cuffs, drawstring hem, and the signature Moncler logo badge on the left chest. The original Grenoble label shows size 7 (approximate modern equivalent: US 4XL / EU 58 / large XXL–XXXL fit – please check measurements if precise fit is critical, as vintage sizing can vary).
Condition is excellent for its age. The jacket retains great loft and shape. The only note is some extremely light, barely noticeable abrasion/wear along the edges of the sleeve cuffs from normal use over the years – nothing structural, no holes, tears, or major issues. Labels (including the distinctive cartoon-style “veritable new down” tag and control tag) are all present and original.
