Lotus Beyond the Moon is a unique sculptural painting created by Inès Rouissi in 2022. The artwork combines botanical symbolism, celestial imagery and contemporary abstraction within a richly textured nocturnal composition.

The dark chromatic foundation was developed first, creating depth through overlapping shades of navy, teal, turquoise and mineral blue. Sculptural elements were then added gradually to form the moon, lotus petals, fine lines and organic structures.
Silver and gold pigments complete the surface, producing reflections that change according to the light source and viewing angle.
