Karasu-C (からす-C) | Amano Kunihiro 天野邦弘(あまの くにひろ)
This artwork features modern abstract and semi-abstract expressions rendered in geometric shapes such as sharp straight lines, circles, and semicircles, rather than a realistic crow. Continuing the lineage of the 1950s Japanese Creative Prints movement, the composition exhibits graphic design sensibilities.
The color scheme is designed with high contrast, combining a base of black and gray with strong accent colors such as red and yellow. By making use of the wood grain texture unique to woodblock prints in the background and design, it creates depth and texture within the design.
